Product Overview

•  Fully Alphanumeric Keypad Controller & Terminal
The Copicode-IP Copier Controller is a fully alphanumeric keypad copier controller and network terminal designed to track and account for copies and prints against accounting quotas associated with users, and shared accounts, such as departments and projects, using the PaperCut-MF solution.

•  Copy and Print Vending the Easy Way
In conjunction with the PaperCut-MF solution, and for use on multifunctionals (MFPs) that don't support an embedded (or screen driven) solution, the Copicode-IP vends copies in the normal fashion, and vends print jobs as a print release station. No separate PC is required for print release; just think of printing as another imaging activity like copying.

•  The Simplicity of Terminal Vending
The Copicode-IP is a true network terminal: it stores no operational settings locally. Copy prices, by size and type, the PIN code and value of a user or shared account, and the status and value of individual print jobs are all stored safely and securely on the PaperCut-MF server, never on the terminal.

•  The Wisdom of "Follow Me" Printing
When there is an array of multifunctionals with the same print driver, individual print jobs sent to one MFP in the array can be printed on another MFP in the array. This allows print jobs to "follow the user" to an unoccupied MFP in the array, thereby lowering congestion around a specific MFP in the array, while automatically load balancing printing activity to the whole array. This is called ""Follow Me" printing, a feature of the PaperCut-MF solution facilitated in part by the Copicode-IP.

•  Logging On With PIN Codes or User Cards
The PaperCut-MF solution logically requires that a user "self-identify" at an MFP (so that imaging activity can be charged to the correct account). By default, this is done by entering the user's login name and password (a cumbersome process), or by entering a unique PIN code associated with the user's account. That login information or PIN code can be entered on the Copicode-IP keyboard. Alternative means for a user to self-dentify include RFID cards (also known as Prox HID and Mifare cards), magnetic stripe cards, and barcode cards, with or without an accompanying PIN code. Original cards, such as student ID cards, or library cards, can be used for this purpose. Please contact us to learn which self-identification means are available for a particular MFP brand.

•  Everything Included
The Copicode-IP comes standard with its own 24 VDC power supply, a copier/printer specific sprig, and a patch cord, at no extra charge.

•  Small Footprint
The Copicode-IP has a small footprint, measuring only 4" x 2.5" x 7", and weighs a mere 1 lb.

Buying the Copicode-IP
To purchase the Copicode-IP, make your selection below (by copier type), and press the Add to Cart button. The Copicode-IP is sold individually, and is used for copy and print tracking against user and shared accounts, in conjunction with the PaperCut-MF solution.

For color Canon MFPs, consider the G-1 serial kit solution for standalone copy and print vending, which works in conjunction with the TC4N card reader (no external software needed!).

For legacy Konica-Minolta MFPs, where the embedded solution is not available, the Copicode-IP handles the serial "vendor mode 2" protocol seamlessly.

The Copicode-IP power supply, copier specific harness, and patch cord are included in the price shown. In some cases, an internal "copy control" kit must be purchased separately from the copier manufacturer. Shipping and handling are added to your order total later.

If you have any questions whatsoever, please give us a call by pressing the Call Me button at the top of this page, or sending us an email.
